Official terms for covering, licensing, or purchasing a song released through CKS Music.

Before You Start
Every song published on this site is an original work created by its songwriter(s) and released under CKS Music. By submitting a cover, licensing, or purchase request, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to every term on this page.
Terms for Covering a Song
There are two categories of cover use, treated differently below.
Free-Use Cover
Covers made for social media (including monetized content), live performances, and similar use are allowed without written approval, as long as they aren't distributed to music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and similar services.
Official Platform Distribution
Releasing a cover as an official track on Spotify, Apple Music, or any streaming platform — whether it's a new recording or a cover you already published elsewhere. Submit a request before it goes live.
It's fine if a cover started out as social media content only. If you later want it released on a streaming platform like Spotify or Apple Music, simply submit a distribution request before the release.
Free-Use Cover
Covers made for social media (including monetized content), YouTube, live performances, and similar use are allowed without written approval, as long as they aren't distributed to music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and similar services, and applicable copyright law and the terms on this page are respected.
Official Platform Distribution
Releasing a cover as an official track on digital music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) always requires prior written approval from the songwriter — including for a cover that was originally made as a free-use cover. Any license fee will be agreed upon in writing by both parties before distribution takes place.
Non-Exclusive Permission
Permission granted is non-exclusive. The songwriter may grant the same permission to other parties and retains full ownership of the copyright at all times.
Copyright Ownership
Copyright in the composition and lyrics remains fully with the songwriter and is never transferred through a cover permission of any kind.
Credit & Attribution
The songwriter's name must be clearly credited in the description, metadata, or release information on every platform the cover is published to.
Integrity of the Work
Lyrics, melody, and the meaning of the song may not be substantially altered — including parodies that change the original meaning — without written consent. Musical arrangement changes needed for a cover are allowed as long as the essence of the work is preserved.
Royalties & Master Recording
Composition royalties owed to the songwriter remain payable according to the mechanism of each platform. Ownership of the new master recording created for the cover belongs to the party who produced that recording, subject to the composition copyright terms above.
Restricted Uses
Covers may not be used in content that is pornographic, discriminatory, hateful, misleading, or otherwise unlawful or damaging to the reputation of the song or its songwriter.
Revocation of Permission
The songwriter may revoke granted permission at any time if these terms are violated, or if the cover is used for unlawful, misleading, or reputation-damaging purposes — without prejudice to further legal action where applicable.
Song Purchase & Custom Licensing
Beyond covers, CKS Music also offers licensing options for advertising, original soundtracks, jingles, or other commercial projects — including limited-use, time-bound, or exclusive licenses.
The scope of rights being licensed, pricing, and usage terms are discussed and confirmed through a separate written agreement before any transaction is finalized.
Payment, invoicing, and the licensing agreement are issued only after a request has been reviewed and approved.

Changes to These Terms
CKS Music may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes take effect once published on this page — please check back periodically before submitting a new request.

Ketentuan resmi untuk meng-cover, melisensi, atau membeli lagu yang dirilis melalui CKS Music.

Sebelum Memulai
Setiap lagu yang dipublikasikan di situs ini adalah karya orisinal yang diciptakan oleh pencipta lagu dan dirilis melalui CKS Music. Dengan mengajukan permintaan cover, lisensi, atau pembelian lagu, pemohon dianggap telah membaca, memahami, dan menyetujui seluruh ketentuan pada halaman ini.
Ketentuan Cover Lagu
Ada dua kategori penggunaan cover, dan keduanya diatur berbeda.
Cover Bebas
Cover lagu untuk media sosial (termasuk yang dimonetisasi), penampilan langsung, dan penggunaan sejenis diperbolehkan tanpa izin tertulis, selama tidak didistribusikan ke platform streaming musik seperti Spotify, Apple Music, dan sejenisnya.
Distribusi Resmi ke Platform
Merilis cover sebagai track resmi di Spotify, Apple Music, atau platform streaming musik lainnya — baik rekaman baru maupun cover yang sudah pernah dipublikasikan di tempat lain. Ajukan permintaan sebelum dirilis.
Tidak masalah jika awalnya cover hanya dibuat untuk media sosial. Namun, jika nanti ingin dirilis ke platform streaming seperti Spotify atau Apple Music, Anda cukup mengajukan izin distribusi sebelum proses rilis.
Cover Bebas
Cover lagu untuk media sosial (termasuk yang dimonetisasi), YouTube, penampilan langsung, dan penggunaan sejenis diperbolehkan tanpa izin tertulis, selama tidak didistribusikan ke platform streaming musik seperti Spotify, Apple Music, dan sejenisnya, serta tetap mematuhi peraturan hak cipta dan ketentuan pada halaman ini.
Distribusi Resmi ke Platform
Merilis cover sebagai track resmi di platform musik digital (Spotify, Apple Music, dll) selalu memerlukan persetujuan tertulis dari pencipta terlebih dahulu — termasuk untuk cover yang awalnya dibuat sebagai Cover Bebas. Biaya lisensi, apabila ada, akan ditentukan dan disepakati secara tertulis oleh kedua belah pihak sebelum distribusi dilakukan.
Sifat Izin Non-Eksklusif
Izin yang diberikan bersifat non-eksklusif. Pencipta lagu tetap berhak memberikan izin yang sama kepada pihak lain, serta tetap memiliki seluruh hak cipta atas lagu.
Kepemilikan Hak Cipta
Hak cipta lagu (komposisi musik dan lirik) sepenuhnya tetap menjadi milik pencipta, dan tidak berpindah tangan dalam bentuk apa pun melalui izin cover ini.
Kredit & Atribusi
Nama pencipta wajib dicantumkan secara jelas pada kredit, deskripsi, metadata, maupun informasi perilisan di setiap platform tempat cover dipublikasikan.
Keutuhan Karya
Lirik, melodi, dan makna lagu tidak boleh diubah secara substansial — termasuk parodi yang mengubah makna asli — tanpa persetujuan tertulis dari pencipta. Perubahan aransemen musik untuk kebutuhan cover diperbolehkan selama tidak mengubah esensi karya.
Royalti & Master Recording
Royalti komposisi yang menjadi hak pencipta lagu tetap berlaku sesuai mekanisme masing-masing platform. Hak atas rekaman baru (master recording) hasil cover menjadi milik pihak yang membuat rekaman tersebut, dengan tetap tunduk pada ketentuan hak cipta komposisi di atas.
Pembatasan Penggunaan
Cover lagu dilarang digunakan untuk konten bermuatan pornografi, SARA, ujaran kebencian, hoaks, atau tujuan lain yang melanggar hukum dan/atau merusak reputasi lagu maupun penciptanya.
Pencabutan Izin
Pencipta berhak mencabut izin yang telah diberikan sewaktu-waktu apabila ketentuan di atas dilanggar, atau apabila cover digunakan untuk tujuan yang melanggar hukum, menyesatkan, atau merusak reputasi lagu — tanpa mengurangi hak pencipta untuk menempuh langkah hukum lebih lanjut apabila diperlukan.
Pembelian & Lisensi Khusus Lagu
Selain cover, CKS Music juga membuka opsi lisensi lagu untuk kebutuhan iklan, original soundtrack, jingle, atau proyek komersial lainnya — termasuk lisensi terbatas, berjangka waktu, maupun eksklusif.
Cakupan hak yang dilisensikan, harga, dan ketentuan penggunaan akan dibahas dan disepakati melalui perjanjian tertulis terpisah sebelum transaksi dilakukan.
Pembayaran, invoice, dan dokumen perjanjian lisensi akan diterbitkan setelah permintaan ditinjau dan disetujui.
Cara Mengajukan Permintaan
Persetujuan cover, distribusi, atau pembelian lagu — prosesnya sama.
Kirim permintaan Anda
Sebutkan lagu yang dimaksud, tujuan penggunaan (cover, distribusi, atau pembelian/lisensi), dan kontak Anda.
Tim kami meninjau
Setiap pengajuan akan ditinjau dalam 1–3 hari kerja (bisa lebih).
Konfirmasi & kesepakatan
Jika disetujui, konfirmasi tertulis (dan perjanjian lisensi, untuk distribusi/pembelian) akan dikirim melalui email.

Perubahan Ketentuan
CKS Music berhak mengubah atau memperbarui Syarat & Ketentuan ini sewaktu-waktu. Perubahan berlaku sejak dipublikasikan di halaman ini — mohon periksa kembali secara berkala sebelum mengajukan permintaan baru.
